Ugh.

Just got back from American Reunion, and it’s safe to say that was one of the most annoying experiences of my life. Not because the movie itself was shitty, I expected that going in, it’s an American Pie sequel. Not because of the ridiculous technical difficulties that went on during it, it’s the Garland, it costed a dollar, and people’s reactions to the movie stopping abruptly were way funnier than the movie itself.

This was a movie filled to the fucking brim with crude and explicit humor, underage girls kissing, sex scenes, topless women, asses, dicks, the whole nine yards. Even a scene involving a man taking a shit in a cooler and another guy putting his hand in it afterward. All of this, the audience willingly gobbled right up, accepted, and laughed at.

But then, the ONE scene in the entire movie that shows two gay men (an engaged couple, no less) kissing each other for all of 2 fucking seconds was apparently enough to provoke a reaction of disgust from groups of people across the entire crowd. 

I’m so fucking sick of our culture’s ignorance and double standards. It is fucking 2012 and the sight of two men in love displaying affection for one another is apparently still the most disgusting thing in the world. I fucking hate people.
